Everything is great here. Fantastic setup and atmosphere, wonderful decoration, very friendly and accommodating multilingual staff. View is magnificent and the choice of facilities/activities (tennis, billard, spa, beach club) very furnished. All of these little high-quality details (love these random fruits everywhere, the tea/coffee) in the hotel, the rooms, and the spa make the difference. Breakfast is excellent too.

Promising Review: Just leaving this lovely hotel,one of the oldest in Lucerne.Very comfortable rooms nice authentic furniture and lovely big modern shower. Located on a beautiful square with many paintings on the facades of the building. Easy walk to train station, boat dock, museums, etc. We were on the 5th floor with a huge terrace that had a view of the medieval wall and seven of the towers. Hotel Desk Clerk was very helpful and pleasant. Comfortable bed, lots of storage space, and spacious bathroom made this room very pleasant. Housekeeping was superb!

Promising Review: This nice property is ideally located just outside Lucerne. The hillside provides a lovely view over the surrounding hills and mountains. Our room was small, but functional and the bathroom served us nicely. The only negative thing to say about our stay was the Alps-shaped bath soap, which didn’t lather well and dissolved quickly. We were touring the area so we never got to enjoy the trails on the property, but they looked interesting.

Promising Review: Lovely hotel in peaceful lakeside spot on the outskirts of the busy city. Free bus pass provided (bus stop right outside hotel) and takes about 8 minutes into city centre. Excellent buffet breakfast (hot and cold) catering for all tastes (vegan, etc). Bespoke hot breakfasts on offer. Eating outside on the terrace with the lake view opposite absolutely wonderful. Staff very polite and accommodating.

Promising Review: The Romero house is a church-style meeting and conference house. The name comes from the Swiss Bishop Romero, the house in the best 1970s architecture (exposed concrete and clinker brick) also exudes this spiritual flair – but in the best sense of the word. The decor of the rooms is simple, linoleum flooring and paint on the bare concrete walls – but nice, above all clean and functional. I felt very well. Important for business travelers abroad: there is very fast, free WiFi access in all rooms.

Description: A 3-minute walk from Chapel Bridge, this unique hotel was once a prison! The rooms have been renovated in 2018 with all the modern amenities. Barabas has 60 prison cell rooms. There is even security bars still on the widow. The courtyard has cozy deck chairs and lanterns. The hotel does not feature prison-style food, fortunately. Izakaya Nozomi is a top-notch Japanese restaurant. After dinner, you can enjoy some games in the hotel lobby including table-top soccer, darts, and billiards. It’s one of the best budget hotels in Lucerne.

I wouldn’t stay for a super long time because the rooms are on the small side, obviously, but for a few-night stay it was perfect!

Promising Review: Awesome hostel in a beautiful city. The rooms were clean and good price. Shared bathrooms were private rooms with a shower and toilet. Has an equipped kitchen. A clean and modern hostel. Helpful staff. All in all great stay. 10 minute bus from the center station.

Promising Review: Really nice and comfortable hotel. Rooms are big and bed was comfortable. There’s lots of privacy and it is well located. Owners are super nice and accommodating. Only bad thing is there’s no actual reception so you have to call over the phone if you need anything

Promising Review: This place is AMAZING to put it shortly. Rainer (the host) is a hands on guy who is always there to help out and a great personality! The rooms are comfortable and well spread out. The house is extremely modern and luxurious. And the view is paradise!! Definitely book this home stay if you are ever in Luzern. Will definitely be coming back here.

Promising Review: This was my second stay at Rothaus, Great value for their price. The highlight of this hotel is their amazing Peruvian restaurant “Pikante” open on the weekends. I reserved Saturday night and Sunday brunch and it was great! I can always recommend their ceviches, Entrecote & Pisco sours. Friendly staff and many choices for breakfast. I definitely coming back!
